Trek nutrition: calories, sugar and salt compared

Every Trek product in our database broken down by calories, sugar, salt and saturated fat, and checked against NHS daily reference intakes for children aged 4 to 17.

Bars marketed on protein or natural ingredients are frequently comparable to confectionery on sugar. Dates, syrups and fruit concentrates count as free sugar once processed, regardless of how the product is positioned.

How the range differs

Protein content and sugar move independently. A high-protein bar can carry as much sugar as a chocolate bar, and a fruit-and-nut bar with no added sugar can still be high in free sugar from dates.

Bar weights differ substantially between ranges, so per-bar comparison is more useful than per-100g.
