Scores use the government’s nutrient profiling model 2018 (DHSC technical guidance, January 2026), calculated per 100g from the portion and pizza weights Pizza Hut publishes. Penalty points are given for energy, saturated fat, free sugars and salt, and points are taken off for fibre, protein and fruit and vegetable content. Foods scoring 4 or more are classed as less healthy. The model is published but not yet used for advertising rules.
Pizza Hut does not publish fibre, so no item earns fibre credit, which overstates every score slightly. Fruit and vegetable content scores zero except for the coleslaw and onion rings, where Pizza Hut publishes the vegetable percentage. Dips are left out because a per-100g score for a small pot says little about what you eat. Free sugar follows the same rules as the sugar ranking.
