Every item on the Dave's Hot Chicken US menu, measured against what a specific person actually needs in a day rather than the adult Daily Value on a label.
Added sugar against a per-meal limit. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030 set no more than 10g of added sugar in a single meal from age 11, and none at all for children aged 10 and under. Dave's Hot Chicken publishes total sugar only, so Boone estimates the added share for each item. Most of the chicken carries little, but 10 Saucy Bites with Mike's Hot Honey holds an estimated 59g, close to six times the per-meal limit.
Sodium by age and spice level. The daily sodium limit is 2,300mg for adults and teenagers but 1,500mg for a child aged 4 to 8. The #3 (1 Tender, 1 Slider & Fries) carries 3,950mg at Mild to Reaper, 172% of an adult’s day and 263% of a young child’s. Dave's publishes separate figures for Not Hot and Lite Mild, and every calculator lets you switch spice level, age, sex and US or UK guidance.
