Scores use the DHSC 2018 nutrient profiling model published January 2026, computed per 100g or 100ml from Taco Bell’s per-portion figures and the portion weights it publishes in its UK nutrition information, last updated 30 September 2026. Points are given for energy, saturated fat, free sugars and salt, then subtracted for protein, fibre and fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. A lower score is better. Food is classed as less healthy at 4 or above, drinks at 1 or above.
Free sugars are Boone’s estimates from each ingredient list, because Taco Bell publishes total sugar only. Fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds are scored as zero except for the guacamole and jalapeños, which are almost entirely vegetable, and the black beans, which are given partial credit. Where two items share a score, the one with more penalty points is ranked worse.
The ten quesadillas are not scored, because Taco Bell’s published portion weights for them are wrong and the model works per 100g. Drinks are scored at the corrected volumes of 330ml for a can, 500ml for a bottle, 473ml for a regular cup and 650ml for a large cup. Meals, boxes and sharing bundles are not ranked; each has its own page.
