Each dot is one item. The UK government’s 400-600-600 guidance suggests about 600 kcal for lunch or dinner, so anything past the line is more than a whole meal on its own.

Taco Bell Meal Calculator: Calories and Nutrition by Age

Every item has a nutrition calculator showing its calories, sugar, salt and saturated fat for your age and sex. Add fries or nachos, a dip, a drink and a dessert to see the full meal, which is what counts against your daily guidelines. Each item page also lists the ingredients Taco Bell publishes, the allergens it declares and how processed the item is.

Common questions

Where does Boone's Taco Bell nutrition information come from?+

Boone uses the nutrition and allergen information Taco Bell publishes for its UK menu, then calculates free sugar and how much of the daily guidelines each item uses for your age and sex.

How often is the Taco Bell UK nutrition information updated?+

Boone updates the Taco Bell pages when Taco Bell changes its published UK nutrition information, including new items, recipe changes and items leaving the menu.

Is Taco Bell UK nutrition information the same as in other countries?+

No. Recipes, ingredients and portion sizes vary by country, so Taco Bell figures from the US or elsewhere do not apply here. Boone only uses Taco Bell's UK nutrition information.

What nutrition information is shown for each Taco Bell item?+

Each Taco Bell item shows its calories, sugar, free sugar, saturated fat, salt and protein, along with the allergens Taco Bell declares. Every figure is also shown as a share of the daily guideline for your age and sex.

How does the Taco Bell nutrition calculator work?+

Open any Taco Bell item and set an age and sex. The calculator shows its calories, sugar, salt, saturated fat and protein as a share of that person's daily guidelines, and you can adjust the portion size.

Can I calculate the calories and nutrition for a full Taco Bell meal?+

Yes. Start with any Taco Bell item, then add sides and drinks to build the meal. The calculator totals the calories and nutrition and shows how the whole meal fits the daily guidelines for your age and sex.

Can I add sides, drinks and sauces to the Taco Bell calculator?+

Yes. Sides, drinks, and sauces or dips where Taco Bell lists them, can all be added to a meal. Each addition updates the meal's calories, sugar, salt and saturated fat.

How are the daily guidelines worked out for my age and sex?+

Boone uses UK government and NHS guidelines, which differ by age and sex. Saturated fat is limited to 20g a day for women and 30g for men, and free sugar to 30g for adults but 19g for children aged 4 to 6. Choosing an age and sex recalculates every figure against the right limits.

What are the daily guidelines for calories, fat, sugar and salt?+

For adults, the reference intake is 2,000 kcal and 70g of fat a day, with no more than 20g of saturated fat for women or 30g for men, 30g of free sugar and 6g of salt. Children have lower limits for free sugar and salt.

Why does the calculator show different figures for children?+

Children have lower limits for free sugar and salt and need less energy, so the same item uses a bigger share of their day. A child aged 4 to 6 has a limit of 19g of free sugar and 3g of salt, compared with 30g and 6g for an adult.

Are Taco Bell calories the same for every portion size?+

No. Calories and nutrients change with portion size, so where Taco Bell sells an item in more than one size, each size is listed separately. You can also adjust the portion in the calculator.

Do Taco Bell sauces and dips affect the nutrition of a meal?+

Yes. Sauces and dips can add a noticeable amount of sugar, salt and calories, especially if you have more than one. Where Taco Bell publishes nutrition for them, you can add them to your meal in the calculator.

Does Taco Bell nutrition information include drinks?+

Where Taco Bell publishes nutrition for its drinks, they are listed with the same detail as food and can be added to any meal. Sugary drinks are often the largest single source of free sugar in a meal.

Why is the sugar figure different from Taco Bell's own nutrition information?+

Taco Bell publishes total sugar, which includes the sugar naturally found in milk and whole fruit. NHS limits apply only to free sugars, so Boone separates the two and measures free sugar against your daily limit. That is why an item can use less of your limit than its total sugar suggests.

What is the difference between fat and saturated fat?+

Fat is the total of all the fats in an item. Saturated fat is one type within that total and has its own daily limit, 20g for women and 30g for men, because eating too much can raise cholesterol.

Can Taco Bell fit into a healthy diet?+

Yes, as part of a balanced diet. Checking a Taco Bell meal's calories, saturated fat, sugar and salt against your daily guidelines shows how much room is left for the rest of the day.

How can I make a Taco Bell meal healthier?+

Choose a smaller portion, swap a sugary drink for water or a zero sugar option, and go easy on sauces and dips. The calculator shows how each change affects the meal before you order.

Is Taco Bell nutrition information suitable for tracking calories?+

Yes. Each Taco Bell item gives calories, sugar, saturated fat, salt and protein that you can log in any tracker. In the Boone app you can also snap a photo of your meal to log it.

Does the Taco Bell nutrition information cover vegetarian and vegan items?+

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan items on the Taco Bell UK menu are included with the same calorie and nutrition detail as everything else.

Does the Taco Bell nutrition information include allergens?+

Yes. Each Taco Bell item page lists the allergens Taco Bell declares, including where cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. If you have a severe allergy, always check with the restaurant before ordering.
